There are four basic tips you want to remember when trying on shoes to figure out which size fits you the best.
1. Have a thumbnail-length space between the front of the shoe and the end of your big toe.
2. Have little or no slipping at the heel.
3. Always try on both shoes.*
4. And try shoes on later in the day.**
*Your feet may be different sizes, and you want to be sure the shoe feels right on both feet.
**Your feet swell as the day goes on, so the shoes that seem right when you wake up may be too tight in the afternoon.
