Choosing Your Running Shoes

Here's an overview of shoe buying: Go to a specialty running store and have them look at your feet and pick out a few good shoes for you. Then they watch you run in them and help you decide which one would be best. It's really a simple process when the experts are helping.

When it comes to running shoes, don't go to Wal-Mart. You'll end up with bad shoes that will cause severe health problems like pinched nerves and shin splints. It's not worth the $20 you saved.

If you're in the New England area, I can totally recommend Marathon Sports in and around Boston, MA. I got shoes there and I love them. The people there are the best.

Be sure to check out our guide to foot mechanics so you understand why a shoe is right for you.
